Job summary

Park Paving Ltd. is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Estimator to join our Edmonton team.

The role focuses on thorough cost estimation, bid strategy, and alignment with field execution across municipal, earthworks, paving, underground, and land development projects. Strong experience in estimating and civil construction methods is required, with assets for Alberta work and professional certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of civil construction estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, sequencing, and production.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and tender requirements.
• Alberta civil construction experience is considered a strong asset.
• Civil Engineer or C.E.T. an asset.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, contracts, and tender documents.
• Developing labour, equipment, material, and production assumptions.
• Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Identifying scope gaps, constructability issues, risks, and opportunities.
• Supporting bid strategy and tender preparation.
• Working closely with Operations and Project Management to align estimating assumptions with field execution.
• Supporting project turnover from estimating into construction.
