Job summary

Blackline Civil in Edmonton is seeking a Civil Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates and take-offs for a range of heavy civil projects across Western Canada. You will review drawings and tender documents, price labour/equipment/materials, and analyze subcontractor bids to ensure competitive, accurate bids.

The role requires 5+ years in civil estimating, with experience in underground utilities, earthworks, and land development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil estimating experience (senior-level candidates preferred).
• Proven experience in underground utilities, earthworks, and land development.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods and sequencing.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Excel.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
