Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex civil projects in Victoria, BC. The role involves technical leadership, project management, and mentorship of junior staff, with potential to serve as Engineer-of-Record on multiple projects.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, manage client accounts, and contribute to proposals while ensuring quality and adherence to standards. A BC-registered PE is preferred with 12+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Licensed Professional Engineer in BC or eligible for EGBC registration.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in civil engineering projects.
• Strong client-facing, budgeting, and proposal-writing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects of high complexity and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
• Provide technical leadership for civil projects and serve as Engineer-of-Record on multiple projects.
• Lead project management duties including budgeting and schedule management.
• Grow business through client account management, scoping, budgeting, design approaches, and supporting proposals.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams, external consultants, owners and contractors.
• Conduct QA/QC on own projects and peers' projects.
