Job summary

Stantec is seeking a professional Civil/Municipal Engineer to join our Regina Water group. You will contribute to diverse design tasks, lead documentation and participate in client meetings, with a focus on water, wastewater, and flood control projects across the Prairie Provinces.

The ideal candidate has 4–8 years of experience, a Civil/Environmental degree, and P.Eng. licensure or eligibility. The role involves site plans, grading, hydraulics, and collaboration with a skilled team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; licensed Professional Engineer or able to become licensed with APEGS.
• 4–8 years of related experience in civil/environmental engineering.
• Experience providing design services and contract administration on linear infrastructure projects in Saskatchewan preferred.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling is an asset.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform broad, varied design tasks on assigned projects under supervision.
• Develop designs through sketches, diagrams, and documentation across civil phases.
• Develop and manage project scope, including fee estimates, budgets, staffing and scheduling.
• Provide contract administration during construction, including change orders and RFIs.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final design and participate in client meetings.
• Participate in permit/approval processes with clients and regulators.
• Coordinate technical activities with multi-discipline teams.
• Attend meetings with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
• Assist project leadership with design management for large projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior staff.
