Job summary
Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (Water) in Peterborough to lead civil design on water and wastewater projects. You will provide technical leadership, review designs and collaborate with BIM teams and construction to ensure buildable, compliant solutions.
The role offers a permanent, hybrid working arrangement with opportunities for professional development and Chartership support.
Qualifications
- Experience leading civil design on water infrastructure projects.
- Chartered Engineer status or working toward Chartership.
- Knowledge of UK water industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across water/wastewater projects.
- Produce and review civil designs, calculations, drawings and 3D models.
- Ensure designs meet standards, regulations and client specs.
- Manage design risks and CDM requirements in design work.
- Coordinate with construction for buildability reviews.
- Support and respond to queries from the supply chain.
- Pursue modular/offsite design and repeatable solutions.
- Collaborate with BIM teams and project stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
