Job summary

Hatch in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead mining, energy and infrastructure projects from design through completion. You will provide technical leadership, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure quality through design reviews, calculations and QA/QC practices.

You will oversee site grading, bulk earthworks, drainage, roads and paving, mentor junior engineers, and manage project scopes with a strong PM background; P.Eng in Alberta preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in mining, energy, infrastructure, or heavy industrial projects.
• Proven experience leading civil engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong project management background on mid- to large-scale projects; PMP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects for mining, energy, infrastructure, and heavy industrial facilities from design through completion.
• Oversee site grading, bulk earthworks, drainage systems, roads, paving, and related civil design activities.
• Provide technical leadership and discipline oversight; coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and deliverables; perform QA/QC reviews.
