Job summary

Hatch Ltd. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Project Delivery Group in Canada. The role involves leading geotechnical investigations for mining, energy, and infrastructure projects, and delivering expert reports.

You will scope site investigations, model geotechnical conditions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across local and international projects. A degree in geotechnical/civil engineering and 6+ years of experience are required, with PEGNL/APENS registration

Qualifications

• Degree in geotechnical/civil engineering with geotechnical focus.
• Minimum 6 years of geotechnical experience.
• Registered or eligible to register with PEGNL/APENS.
• Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team with client focus.
• Commitment to safety and quality in project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Scope and manage geotechnical site investigations.
• Prepare site characterization and geotechnical reports.
• Interpret field data to develop geotechnical models.
• Complete 2D/3D modeling for projects.
• Perform geotechnical analysis and design (foundations, walls, slopes).
• Prepare technical memos, specs, and proposals.
• Review junior staff work and provide peer review.
