Job summary

Ausenco in Burnaby (Canada) is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil engineering functions for industrial and mining projects. You will manage design from concept through construction, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support public and private sector clients in urban and remote areas.

The role emphasizes project management, technical leadership, and mentoring, with a focus on delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• P.Eng. designation with Engineers and Geoscientists BC/ON eligible or registered.
• 8–15 years of progressive civil engineering experience, including project management.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Provide civil design solutions for industrial and mining projects.
• Prepare cost-effective designs from concept to construction in line with local codes.
• Perform site visits, inspections, and prepare reports for water, wastewater, and drainage systems.
• Serve as technical authority for civil components of feasibility studies and designs.
• Lead tender documentation, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with structural, geotechnical, environmental teams and architects.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to BD efforts.
