Job summary

Ausenco in Burnaby, Canada is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineering PM to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. You will deliver projects according to contract, manage scope, budget, schedule, and resources, and lead the project delivery team.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in engineering or project management services, with experience in electrical or multi-discipline projects. PMP is a plus; knowledge of BC Hydro/TransLink is an asset. Salary range CAD 100k–130k annually.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with BC Hydro, Metro Vancouver, TransLink projects would be an asset.
• PMP certification is a desired asset.
• Demonstrated ability to lead others to accomplish common goals.

Our team in Canada is growing. We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Engineering PM to join our Infrastructure Engineering business line in the Burnaby office.

About The Role

• Deliver the project according to contractual requirements by managing the scope, quality, budget, schedule, resources, risk, and issues throughout project lifecycle.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and manage overall project engineering budgets, change orders and receivables.
• Develop and maintain a strong communication with the client over the duration of the project.
• Lead the project delivery team, and communicate clear objectives for the team to understand & achieve project goals as per client’s requirements.
• Coordinate project resources according to requirements.
• Develop a detailed project plan and lead the execution process.
• Track and report performance against deliverables, lead initiatives to correct any deviation from the plan.
• Implement best practices and standardized procedures to maximize productivity and control.
• Responsible for assuring safe working and health practices.
• Support and mentor project team members.

About You

• Post secondary qualification in Engineering, or construction management
• 5-10 years experience in engineering or project management services.
• Experience in electrical or multi-discipline projects is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possesses general understanding in the areas of electrical engineering, substations, transmission and power distribution design and installation.
• Experience with BC Hydro, Metro Vancouver, TransLink projects would be an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to lead others to accomplish common goals.
• Project budget and P&L understanding.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
• PMP certification is a desired asset.
