Job summary

Englobe is seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of municipal, land development, transportation, and infrastructure projects. You will manage proposals, budgets, scheduling, and client communications.

You will mentor engineers and technologists, coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, and support business development while ensuring quality and safety standards across Atlantic Canada.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in New Brunswick and/or Nova Scotia.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience, preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Strong experience delivering municipal infrastructure, transportation, land development, and civil engineering projects.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related civil engineering software.
  • Experience with Hydrocad, PCSWMM, and other hydraulic or stormwater modeling software is considered an asset.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally throughout Atlantic Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering projects for municipal, land development, transportation, and infrastructure clients;
  • Manage projects from proposal through completion, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and client communication;
  • Prepare, review, and oversee technical reports, engineering designs, specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates;
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality control to engineers, EITs, technologists, and other project team members;
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and work collaboratively with internal specialists, clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders;
  • Support business development initiatives through proposal preparation, client relationship management, networking, and identifying new opportunities;
  • Participate in client, consultant, and contractor meetings and provide technical guidance throughout project execution;
  • Conduct site visits, condition assessments, field reviews, and construction administration services as required;
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and quality management procedures;
  • Promote and uphold Englobe's health and safety culture in all aspects of project planning and execution.

What Makes You Unique
