Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Group seeks a Senior Civil Designer to support design and drafting for nuclear projects in Ontario and internationally. You will lead plot plan design, coordinate with teams, and ensure deliverables meet schedule and budget.

The role requires a college diploma with 9+ years in mechanical design/drafting and advanced CAD skills (AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks). NBCC/CSA/ASME knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• College diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 9 years in mechanical design and drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit and related CAD tools.
• NBCC/CSA/ASME knowledge is an asset and beneficial.
• Ability to lead, collaborate and work independently within teams.

CANDU Energy Inc./ AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc. is actively seeking a qualified Senior Civil Designer to support engineering roles for nuclear projects in major areas, such as, new build in the province of Ontario, international new builds, refurbishment, and continuous plant operation support modifications for nuclear power plants. This position requires working on fast paced technically complex projects in the nuclear industries. Typical duties and essential functions will include but not be limited to the preparation, design, modification, coordination, and/or review of the following:* Lead system‐level design of plot plans, plant and equipment layouts using 2D/3D CAD.* Review design deliverables for accuracy and consistency.* Identify design issues early and ensure work stays on schedule and within budget.* Manage scope changes and collaborate with project teams to mitigate scope creep.* Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and the technical community.* Prepare CAD related procedures, as required* Show strong leadership, communication, and project management capability.* Recommend and implement process improvements where appropriate.* Serve as a leader, reviewer, and resource for the work unit.* Assign and outline work when needed and verify accuracy of outputs.* Develop others’ technical and CAD skills through coaching and mentoring **About you:*** College diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 9 years in mechanical design and drafting.* Working knowledge in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Raster Design, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Smart Plant 3D/Smart.
