Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Toronto is seeking a Civil Designer to support roadway and municipal infrastructure projects from concept through detailed design and construction. You will produce design drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation, prepare contract packages, and assist with project delivery including reports, site visits, and reviews.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least 4 years of roadway design experience, with knowledge of Ontario TAC standards and proficiency in AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of Civil Engineering experience with an emphasis on roadway design.
• Knowledge of Ontario and/or TAC geometric design standards for roads and underground utilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and MS Project.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed roadway designs and design drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Prepare contract packages, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and quantities.
• Support project delivery through design reports, meeting documentation, site visits, and construction reviews.
• Coordinate with external agencies, multidisciplinary teams, design leads, clients, and construction personnel for successful project execution.
• Assist with proposal preparation, business development activities, and client support.

Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
