AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Junior Civil Designer to support engineering roles on nuclear projects in Ontario. You will prepare CAD drawings and 3D models, coordinate with design teams, and ensure document control in line with QA programs.

The role requires a college diploma with CAD experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks, and the ability to work both in teams and independently. A hybrid work culture is offered in Canada.

Qualifications

• College diploma or equivalent with 2+ years in mechanical design and drafting.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Raster Design, Revit, MicroStation and SolidWorks.
• Ability to revise drawings and create 2D/3D CAD models from instructions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings/3D models in AutoCAD and MicroStation; sketching and modeling.
• Follow client file management systems for document storage.
• Prepare engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional systems per QA programs.
• Apply relevant codes & standards and coordinate with the design team for compliance.
• Interface with engineering teams throughout the design lifecycle from concept to close-out.

Typical duties and essential functions will include but not be limited to the preparation, design, modification, coordination, and/or review of the following:* Prepare electronic documents in AutoCAD and/or Microstation; Sketching, and three-dimensional computer modeling.* Follow client driven file management system for document storage.* Prepare engineering deliverables for both nuclear and conventional systems in accordance with AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc. / Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs and project requirements.* Apply relevant Codes & Standards and regulatory requirements and coordinate with design team to ensure the compliances.* Interface with Engineering teams, throughout the lifecycle of the design project (i.e., from preliminary and conceptual engineering to detailed design, implementation and close-out) to provide practical and effective solutions as per requirements.* Must be “Team” oriented with a demonstrated ability to work well with other and promote a positive work environment. **About you:*** College diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 2 years in mechanical design and drafting.* Working knowledge in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Raster Design, Revit, Micro Station and SolidWorks* Individuals are expected to have some basic academic knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD applications.* Continue to learn the fundamentals of CAD techniques through job experience, coaching and training in order to reach a higher competency level.* Revise existing drawings/3D models (relative to the discipline) from fairly detailed verbal or written instructions, and/or marked up drawings.* Prepare drawings/3D models (relative to the discipline) of minimal complexity.
