Job summary

Shared Health is seeking a General Duty Cardiology Technologist to support the St. Boniface Hospital site. The role requires interpretation of results, troubleshooting, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should have a Cardiology Technology Program completion and valid CSCT/MACT registration, with leadership ability and strong English communication skills. In-person, days shift, 1.0 FTE, with 7.75 daily hours.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved Cardiology Technology Program.
• Registration/Certified by the CSCT and MACT in good standing.
• Three years of experience as a General Duty Cardiology Technologist.

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Experience

• Three (3) years’ experience as a General Duty Cardiology Technologist.
• Experience in either Holter or Stress preferred.
• Supervisory experience is an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Successful completion of an approved Cardiology Technology Program.
• Registration/Certified by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT).

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Must be a member in good standing with Manitoba Association of Cardiology Technologists (MACT) and CSCT.

• Demonstrated computer skills is an asset.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
• Microsoft Office programs required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the position including being able to stand or walk for extended periods of time without resting.
• Must demonstrate the use of safe and effective body mechanics while working with clients.
• May be exposed to radiation (within acceptable limits).
• May be required to occasionally work extended hours.
• May be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, toxic materials, noise, allergens, physical and emotional stress.
• May encounter aggressive and/or agitated clients/visitors/staff.

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
