AtkinsRéalis in Canada seeks a Specialist Engineer with deep expertise in CANDU Reactivity Control Units to lead design efforts on major refurbishment and new build projects. You will interface with internal and external stakeholders and guide engineering practices across teams.

The role requires 15+ years in CANDU design or ASME pressure vessel work, a P.Eng license in Ontario, and strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of related work experience in CANDU reactor design or ASME pressure vessel design.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong fundamentals in solid mechanics, stress, fatigue, fracture mechanics and creep.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical design of CANDU Reactivity Control Units on refurb and new build projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers across disciplines.
• Review calculations, drawings, and reports for regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with ASME and CSA standards and project requirements.
• Define work scope, plan activities, and coordinate design phases.
