AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage complex procurement for projects and business units in Canada. The role collaborates with Engineering, Project Management, Quality Assurance, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliant procurement practices.

The successful candidate will mentor junior staff, oversee purchasing activities, and participate in supplier performance management, with potential travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education preferred.
• SCMP certification or enrollment is considered an asset.
• 10+ years of experience managing complex procurement packages.
• Experience with supplier negotiations, sourcing, evaluations, and performance management.
• Understanding of quality standards, financial controls, invoicing, and health and safety requirements.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, supplier management, contract terms and conditions, and purchase order administration.
• Knowledge of contract law and competitive bidding practices.
• Ability to mentor junior buyers and procurement administrators.
• Travel to project sites may be required.

Responsabilités

• The role oversees sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract administration, purchase order management, and change orders while ensuring compliance with quality, technical, commercial, and project requirements.
• The Senior Buyer works closely with Engineering, Project Management, Quality Assurance, and suppliers to support successful project delivery, resolve procurement issues, and maintain supplier performance.
• The position may also provide mentorship to junior procurement staff and lead procurement activities on assigned projects.
