Position Overview:

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for the Ontario public infrastructure market. The successful candidate will lead efforts to expand Bechtel's presence in transit and aviation sectors and will be responsible for developing strategic market approaches and managing customer relationships.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
  • Monitor customers' growth plans and technical requirements.
  • Demonstrate how Bechtel can meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers on customer engagement and feedback.
  • Lead proposal preparation and negotiations to secure new business.
  • Develop pricing and teaming strategies for proposals.
  • Conduct research on strategic markets and recommend new services.
  • Maintain an active presence in the industry with strategic partners.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 10 years of relevant experience, or 13 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of public agencies and contracting within the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Experience in sales and current industry trends.
  • Understanding of various delivery models in construction.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
