Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration with a focus on inventory management and contracting processes.

You will work with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate needs into functional solutions, develop test strategies, and support UAT. This is a remote contract role based in Canada with cross-functional collaboration across enterprise teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of business analysis experience in SAP programs.
• Strong functional expertise in SAP MM, inventory management and contracting processes.
• Experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting and managing business requirements.
• Proven ability to map current and future state processes and perform fit-gap analyses.
• Experience supporting data mapping, test case development and UAT planning.

Responsabilités

• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements for inventory management and contracting workstreams within the SAP S/4HANA migration program.
• Assess existing SAP ECC processes and map current-state workflows, identifying opportunities for optimized future-state processes in SAP S/4HANA.
• Conduct fit-gap analyses to evaluate differences between current operations and future system capabilities.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications to support SAP configuration and implementation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, SAP consultants, technical teams, and migration specialists to ensure alignment of objectives and deliverables.
• Support data mapping and migration activities to align business data with SAP S/4HANA.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Business Analyst – SAP S/4HANA based in Canada.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, with a primary focus on inventory management and contracting processes. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into effective functional solutions. Your responsibilities will span requirements gathering, business process mapping, fit-gap analysis, and functional design. You will also contribute to data mapping, testing strategies, and user acceptance testing to ensure a smooth and successful migration. This remote contract opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a major enterprise transformation while improving operational processes and system efficiency. Accountabilities:

• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements for inventory management and contracting workstreams within the SAP S/4HANA migration program.
• Assess existing SAP ECC processes and map current-state workflows, identifying opportunities to define and implement optimized future-state processes in SAP S/4HANA.
• Conduct fit-gap analyses to evaluate differences between current business operations and future system capabilities, identifying functional impacts, process gaps, and potential solutions.
• Translate business requirements into clear, detailed functional specifications to support SAP configuration, development, and implementation activities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, SAP functional consultants, technical teams, and migration specialists to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical deliverables.
• Support data mapping and migration activities, helping ensure business data is accurately aligned with the target SAP S/4HANA environment.
• Develop test scenarios and test cases, support user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and coordination, and help validate that implemented solutions meet business requirements.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation, functional requirements, workflow descriptions, and end-user training materials to support implementation and adoption.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical or functional migration teams, facilitating discussions, resolving requirement-related issues, and maintaining clear communication throughout the project.
• Contribute to organizational change and end-user readiness activities to help ensure a smooth transition to the new system and associated business processes.

Requirements:

• Bring at least 7 years of business analysis experience within SAP programs, with strong functional expertise in SAP Materials Management (SAP MM), inventory management, and contracting processes.
• Demonstrate practical knowledge of both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, including a strong understanding of enterprise business processes and system functionality.
• Have proven experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing business requirements, as well as translating business needs into actionable functional specifications.
• Possess hands‑on experience with business process mapping, current‑state and future‑state analysis, fit‑gap assessments, and functional impact analysis.
• Demonstrate experience supporting data mapping, test case development, UAT planning, test coordination, and validation of business requirements.
• Have strong documentation skills and the ability to produce clear, structured, and accurate functional specifications, process documentation, and training materials.
• Be comfortable facilitating stakeholder workshops, managing discussions, and collaborating effectively with business users, SAP functional consultants, developers, and migration teams.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in business‑friendly language.
• Bring a customer‑focused mindset, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes while managing competing priorities.
• Direct experience supporting a full‑lifecycle SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration is strongly preferred.
• Experience in large enterprise organizations or healthcare environments is an advantage, along with knowledge of supply chain management, procurement, data migration, organizational change management, and end‑user training.
• Be able to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective collaboration with distributed project teams.
