Job summary

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a public sector client within the IT Infrastructure Refresh program. Hybrid work arrangement: 2 days on-site weekly in New Westminster, British Columbia.

The role requires 7+ years of BA and process improvement experience, with prior public sector and IT infra project exposure. You will facilitate workshops, translate requirements, and prepare current/future state documentation for sign-off.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of business analysis and process improvement experience.
• Experience in public sector environments and IT infrastructure projects (Networking, Data Centers).
• Knowledge of project management processes and governance controls.
• Experience with SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate discussions with SMEs to document current and future state processes and interfaces.
• Translate requirements into detailed solution requirements and perform fit-gap analyses.
• Collaborate with project team and stakeholders to assess existing solutions and opportunities.
• Identify processes to unify or improve and prepare recommended solutions.
• Review deliverables with stakeholders and obtain sign-off.
• Lead workshops and produce status updates and presentations.
• Contribute to the project plan and perform other project tasks as needed.

Our public sector client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to work on projects within within the IT Infrastructure Refresh program. RFC-2026-038

Initially 12-month contract with chances of extension. Hybrid 2 days/week onsite in New West.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate discussions with subject matter experts to understand, analyze, and prepare detailed current and future state process documentation, including identifying business, data, and integration/interface requirements.
• Translate requirements into solution requirements.
• Collaborate with the project team, technical stakeholders, and business stakeholders to assess current solutions employed across the companies.
• Prepare fit-gap analyses.
• Identify processes that can be unified and/or improved.
• Work with the project team to prepare a recommendation of solutions that can be leveraged to address the business needs.
• Review and validate analysis deliverables with business and technical stakeholders and obtain signoff.
• Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and meetings.
• Prepare status updates and presentation materials as required.
• Contribute to the project plan, as required, and
• Other project work as assigned.

Must Have

• 7+ years of Business Analysis and process improvement experience.
• Public sector experiences
• Previous experience in IT Infrastructure projects (e.g., Networking, Client Computing & Data Centers)
• Knowledge of project management processes and supporting governance controls.
• Experience with SharePoint.

Nice To Have

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)
