Job summary

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a 4 month contract in Vancouver. You will lead discovery for Guest Services projects and support Salesforce transformations, translating complex requirements into detailed specs and user stories.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years as BA, strong Jira/Confluence/Miro skills, and experience with Salesforce CRM. This role emphasizes stakeholder collaboration, process mapping, and data migration readiness.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst on Agile projects.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies in dynamic environments.
  • Proficient with Jira, Confluence and Miro for BA work.

  • Data migration experience including profiling, cleansing, mapping and cutover readiness is a strong asset.
  • Broad experience with multiple systems/integrations is valuable.
  • LA/BA consulting background and related CRM certification are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery for Guest Services projects using workshops, interviews, and journey mapping.
  • Support Salesforce account model transformations from Contact/Account to Person Accounts.
  • Create and maintain detailed docs: current/future state data flows, rules, user stories, decisions.
  • Develop user-centered designs and guest journeys, focusing on account changes impacts.
  • Act as conduit between stakeholders, Salesforce admins, solution architects, developers, QA, and data teams.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement across multiple teams affected by customer data changes.
  • Translate requirements into specifications with dependencies, risks, and acceptance criteria.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships within technology and business units.
  • Create visual models and diagrams for leadership and varied audiences.
  • Document user stories, process flows, data mappings, acceptance criteria for QA and change management.
  • Assess downstream impacts to integrations, reporting, automations, data quality, and workflows.
  • Support migration readiness: field mapping, transformation rules, data cleansing, cutover planning.
  • Plan, groom and prioritize product backlog aligned to business priorities.
  • Organize UAT planning, test scenarios, defect triage, and sign-off for migrated records.
  • Support testing and validation of system changes to meet business requirements.
  • Identify and document future process changes to enable change management and adoption.
  • Maintain evolving process and system documentation.

Job description

MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a 4 month contract role at a client of ours located in Vancouver.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the discovery of multiple Guest Services projects, gathering requirements using effective business analysis techniques, including workshops, stakeholder interviews, process mapping, data analysis, and journey mapping
  • Supporting Salesforce account model transformation work, including the migration from a Contact/Account model to Person Accounts
  • Creating and maintaining detailed documentation on a variety of projects and systems, including current-state and future-state process flows, data flows, system context diagrams, business rules, user stories, and decision records
  • Developing empathy for the guest/end-user by incorporating Human Centered Design principles and guest journey mapping, with a focus on how customer account changes impact guest service experiences
  • Consulting with stakeholders and acting as a conduit between stakeholders, Salesforce administrators, solution architects, developers, QA analysts, data teams, and development squads
  • Facilitating and managing stakeholder expectations and engagement across Guest Services, Digital Marketing, Operations, Finance, Analytics, and other teams impacted by customer account data changes
  • Translating business requirements into detailed and actionable specifications and requirements documents, calling out dependencies, risks, assumptions, business rules, reporting impacts, integration impacts, and operational readiness needs where relevant
  • Collaborating efficiently and effectively by building strong relationships with cross-functional teams within the overall technology department and across the business
  • Creating understandable visual representations to communicate complex concepts and models for various target audiences, including leadership level
  • Documenting detailed user stories, process flows, systems diagram flows, data mapping requirements, acceptance criteria, and validation scenarios that will be used for business process review, systems architecture, Salesforce configuration, web development, quality assurance and change management
  • Partnering with technical teams to assess downstream impacts to integrations, reporting, automations, permissions, data quality, identity/customer profile processes, and operational workflows connected to Salesforce account data
  • Supporting migration readiness activities, including field mapping, transformation rules, duplicate handling considerations, data cleansing requirements, reconciliation criteria, cutover planning inputs, and post-migration validation support
  • Working with stakeholders and development squads to plan, groom and prioritise the product backlog to ensure work focuses on features that align with business priorities
  • Organising and facilitating user acceptance testing with business users, including UAT planning, test scenario definition, defect triage, business sign-off, and validation of migrated customer account records
  • Supporting the testing and validation of system changes to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver the desired outcomes
  • Identifying and documenting current and future business process changes and improvements to facilitate change management, training, operational adoption, and hypercare planning
  • Maintaining process and system documentation as business and systems evolve
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst, working on Agile projects related to e-commerce, retail, omni-channel, CRM platforms, customer service technology, or customer data transformations
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a dynamic, iterative development environment. You must be able to quickly absorb new and different types of information, modify and adapt existing knowledge, and work in a changing and evolving environment, to ensure successful project discovery and delivery
  • Proficient in using business analysis tools and software such as Jira, Confluence and Miro
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders to be able to explain, articulate, and document concepts, business processes, systems, customer data models and business requirements efficiently
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills while managing multiple, competing priorities
  • Excel in analytics and problem-solving. You are a critical thinker who enjoys diving into the details and seeking to understand the “how” and “why”
  • Able to work independently, biasing towards action to drive projects forward. You seek the best, but sometimes not the easiest, solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • Curious and eager to learn. You thoroughly investigate every problem you encounter until you uncover what truly matters
  • Experience gathering and documenting requirements for complex systems, integrations, data migrations, and business process changes
  • Experience creating process maps, system flows, data flows, business rules, decision matrices, acceptance criteria, and UAT scenarios
  • Hands‑on experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Salesforce data models would be a strong asset
  • Experience supporting Salesforce Person Account implementations, Contact/Account model changes, CRM transformations, customer identity initiatives, or Customer 360 programs would be a strong asset
  • Experience with data migration activities, including data profiling, cleansing, field mapping, reconciliation, validation, and cutover readiness would be a strong asset
  • Experience working with a breadth of systems and integrations would be a strong asset
  • Previous experience in a consulting role as a BSA for major migrations or system integrations would be a strong asset.
  • Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, or related CRM certification would be considered an asset
