Altis Recruitment seeks an experienced Senior Business Analyst focused on Data Quality & Data Governance for a 12-month remote contract in Canada. You will design and operationalize enterprise Data Quality processes with a strong Collibra emphasis, engaging stakeholders across business and technology.

You will translate complex data requirements into scalable operating models, define workflows, and support UAT, deployment, and post-production stabilization.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst supporting data governance initiatives.
• Hands-on data quality and governance experience including rules and remediation.
• Experience with Collibra or similar enterprise data governance tools.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and workflows.

Responsabilités

• Lead stakeholder workshops to gather business and functional requirements.

• Translate requirements into Collibra workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop process maps, RACI models, governance docs, and SOPs.

The Opportunity

Altis Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst – Data Quality & Data Governance for an exciting 12-month remote contract opportunity with possible extensions supporting a large, complex organization.

This role will focus on designing, implementing, and operationalizing enterprise Data Quality processes, with a strong emphasis on Collibra, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise-wide Data Governance.

The successful candidate will bridge business and technology teams, translating complex Data Quality requirements into practical, scalable processes and sustainable operating models.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions to gather and document business and functional requirements.
• Design enterprise Data Quality processes covering rules, thresholds, monitoring, issue management, remediation, and escalation.
• Translate business requirements into Collibra workflows, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop process maps, RACI models, governance documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Governance teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business validation, and issue resolution.
• Support enterprise implementation, operational readiness, change management, and user training.
• Establish sustainable Data Quality processes and support the transition to business-as-usual operations.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst supporting enterprise data, governance, or technology initiatives.
• Strong practical experience in Data Quality and Data Governance, including data stewardship, quality rules, issue management, and remediation.
• Experience with Collibra or a comparable enterprise Data Governance platform.
• Proven experience facilitating workshops and translating business needs into functional requirements and workflows.
• Strong experience with process mapping, RACI models, user stories, acceptance criteria, and operational documentation.
• Experience supporting enterprise implementations, UAT, deployment, and post-production stabilization.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Collibra Data Quality & Observability or Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.
• Experience in regulated or highly governed environments.
• Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, business glossaries, and critical data elements.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira.
• Relevant Business Analysis, Data Governance, or Collibra certifications.
