Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technology solutions. You will gather requirements, analyze processes, and collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, developers, and end users to deliver impactful solutions in a dynamic project delivery team.

You will create user stories, document functional requirements, and use data insights to drive decisions. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and technical requirements.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and data validation.
Hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
Experience using Jira or similar project management and Agile collaboration tools.
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and technical requirements.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and data validation.

These Will Help You Stand Out

Experience supporting digital transformation or business process improvement initiatives.
Experience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, and functional specifications.
Knowledge of business process modeling methodologies and best practices.
Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Scrum Master, or comparable credentials.
Experience working within enterprise-scale environments and cross-functional teams.

Salary And Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is CAD $60,300 - $95,500, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
