St. Lawrence College is seeking a Senior Budget & Financial Analyst to serve as a key advisor in budgeting and forecasting. The role supports management decisions by preparing budgets, conducting financial reviews, and providing reports that meet vendor requirements.
The successful candidate will have a 4-year degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting and at least 5 years of budgeting/financial analysis in a non-profit. Strong Excel and PeopleSoft skills are essential.
Reporting to the Vice-President, Finance, Risk, Facilities, Procurement & CFO, the Senior Budget & Financial Analyst acts as a key resource and advisor to Budget Managers and College staff, in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. The Senior Budget & Financial Analyst is also responsible for completing various elements of the budgeting and forecasting processes and conducting financial reviews and analysis to support Management’s decision making. The Senior Budget & Financial Analyst develops and maintains financial and management reports that meet vendor requirements and delivers information and insight to support data-driven decision making. In addition, the Senior Budget & Financial Analyst supports the management of the finance and budgeting systems and the implementation of financial controls that enable sound financial management of the College and the integrity of financial data.
A minimum of a 4-year degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience developing budgets and performing financial analysis in a non-for-profit organization. Experience presenting complex financial, statistical, and other information. Experience working successfully with people at all organizational levels.
The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location and work temporarily from a remote location with reliable internet access, as approved by the College and in accordance with the college’s Telework Policy.
