About the Opportunity
- Supporting the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasting for designated departments through robust cost analysis and in-depth financial review.
- Delivering timely and insightful analysis of actual financial results, including commentary on key variances compared to budget, forecast and prior year results.
- Preparing financial reports and reporting packages/presentations for organization and its subsidiaries, including the design and development of dynamic financial reports using Jet Reports.
- Performing timely analysis and reconciliation of assigned accounts and preparing supplementary schedules and supporting analysis for the financial statements.
- Supporting internal and external audits by preparing working papers and supporting documentation for the year-end audit requirements.
- Participating in projects and initiatives focused on improving accounting processes and procedures, including leveraging AI-driven solutions and advanced reporting tools to enhance financial analysis, reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
About You
- University Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent
- Canadian CPA designation
- Six to nine years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience, including demonstrated ability to perform and present complex financial analysis.
- Experience working with financial and reporting systems such as Business Central, Prophix, and Concur.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience using financial reporting and budgeting tools to support analysis and decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- You must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.
Salary Range
$75,000 - $95,000 / year
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s retirement plan.
