Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Canada is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead the design and delivery of major transportation structures.

With 10+ years in detailed bridge design and project management, you will guide multi-disciplinary teams across Canada and coordinate with clients to ensure safe, durable infrastructure. You will apply CAN/CSA-S6 standards and use CSIBridge or MIDAS, mentor engineers, review shop drawings, and contribute to proposals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on bridge structures.
• Eligible for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licence in British Columbia.
• 10+ years of experience in detailed bridge design and project management.
• Proven ability to support transportation and bridge projects in various jurisdictions across Canada and working within geographically dispersed project teams.
• Advanced knowledge of CAN/CSA-S6 design codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
• Lead inspections, assessments, and rehabilitation strategies for existing structures.
• Provide project coordination and management for standard and major bridge projects.
• Prepare specifications, tender documents, and cost estimates that guide successful delivery.
• Review shop drawings and provide technical support during construction phases.
• Mentor and inspire technical teams to achieve excellence in project delivery.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to proposal development for future projects.
