LEA Consulting Ltd. in Markham, Ontario is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Bridge Engineer to lead design, evaluation and rehabilitation of transportation structures across Ontario.

You will prepare technical reports, contract documents, analyses, and coordinate with clients and sub-consultants within the Structures Division. The role emphasizes mentorship of junior staff, project management, and collaboration on high-profile projects like Gardiner Rehab and ECWE, with a hybrid work model and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• P.Eng. licenced with Ontario PEO, 5+ years as a P.Eng.
• 10+ years total experience in design, evaluation and rehabilitation of bridge/transport structures.
• Experience managing projects for MTO, TTC, Metrolinx or municipal clients is a strong asset.
• Strong knowledge of CSA S6, CSA A23, CSA S16, OBC, OPSS, and MTO Manuals.
• Advanced proficiency with structural analysis software (SAP2000, MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, AutoCAD, etc).

Responsibilities

• Design of transportation structures under guidance of a Senior Engineer.
• Prepare Structural Design Reports, Evaluation Reports, calculations, drawings, and docs.
• Support preparation and review of contract documents and cost estimates.
• Provide technical support to project teams and stakeholders; coordinate with seniors.
• Conduct engineering analyses and design reviews to ensure code compliance.
• Manage assigned project tasks and deliverables within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead multidisciplinary teams.
