Job summary

Entuitive Corporation in Toronto, Ontario seeks an Intermediate Bridge Engineer to focus on structural design and evaluation of bridges, including production of structural documents and construction administration.

You will lead design tasks, supervise CAD technicians, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with contractors and owners during construction. The role supports a hybrid work model with professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil/Structural engineering from an accredited university.
• Post-graduate degree in Civil/Structural engineering would be an asset.
• 5+ years of experience in bridge design, rehabilitation, and/or bridge construction engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Province of Employment.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (CSiBridge, SAP2000, Midas Civil, SOFiSTiK, etc.) and AutoCAD.
• Ability to facilitate inter-disciplinary coordination and cooperation.
• Knowledge of embodied carbon is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preliminary and detailed design for new bridges, culverts and retaining walls, and rehabilitation of existing structures.
• Conduct and oversee inspections of existing bridges, culverts and retaining walls and prepare reports.
• Preparation of contract specifications.
• Preparation of structural reports.
• Preparation of sketches for CAD technicians.
• Supervision of bridge CAD technicians for production of drawings and project deliverables.
• Mentor and supervise work of junior bridge team members.
• Review of construction submittals and RFIs.
• Liaise with contractors and owners during design and construction.
• Complete site inspections during construction.
• Analysis/design for bridge demolition and construction engineering.
