Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking an experienced bookkeeper/accounting professional in the Greater Toronto Area. The role covers bookkeeping, creditor services, trust accounting, remittances, and reconciliations within a five-person team.

You will manage full-cycle bookkeeping, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support month-end/year-end close while maintaining accurate records and strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience in law firm or professional services preferred.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping and general accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities with accurate transaction recording.
• Prepare and post journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and supporting schedules.
• Support vendor, remittance, and trust accounting activities as needed.
