We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our team and support our continued operational excellence.

Role Description

The Senior Bookkeeper is a vital member of our administrative team, responsible for managing the hotel's day-to-day financial and accounting operations. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing key bookkeeping functions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the hotel
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Process payroll and reconcile payroll accounts
  • Record and reconcile journal entries and bank transactions
  • Monitor and manage the general ledger
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls
  • Collaborate with department heads to support operational decision-making
  • Utilize accounting software and systems efficiently
  • Respond to internal and external financial inquiries as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting (preferably in hospitality)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards for accuracy
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
