Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technologist II to manage complex medical devices and clinical systems. You will provide assurance testing, maintenance and repair of devices, ensuring CSA and accreditation compliance.

Travel within Alberta for support is required, with at times out-of-province travel for training. The role is based in Calgary at Peter Lougheed Centre, with a Regular Full Time appointment and a 7.75-hour shift in a 2-week cycle.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two year diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology.
• Experience in medical equipment/technology support and clinical terminology knowledge.
• Healthcare IT knowledge including networking, interfaces and antivirus/encryption.
• Experience with CMMS and medical diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Manage technology and provide technical support for complex medical equipment and clinical systems.
• Perform assurance testing and support of complex devices.
• Ensure compliance to CSA, manufacturer and accreditation specifications.
• Prioritize, schedule and manage assigned workload.
