Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Cardiology Technologist I to support the Cardiac Outpatient Department at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. You will prepare patients for non-invasive cardiac testing, explain procedures, collect history, and provide data for physician interpretation.

You will set up and calibrate equipment, perform Holter monitoring and exercise stress testing, and contribute to trainee evaluation while maintaining high standards of patient care across the site.

Qualifications

• Completion of certificate from an accredited school of Cardiology Technology.
• Active or eligible ASRCT registration.
• Active CSCT registration and BCLS-HCP certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze 12/15 lead ECG recordings throughout the site.
• Perform EST under physician supervision, including pharmacological stress testing.
• Organize, apply, download and analyze Holter/Event monitors independently.
• Interpret recordings and promptly report abnormalities to the physician.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot department equipment.
• Comply with AHS policies and participate in professional development.
