Job summary

COBS Bread in Canada is seeking a Senior Baker to lead daily baking operations, mentor junior bakers, and uphold our freshness and customer satisfaction standards. You will manage production and collaborate with management to continually improve processes.

You will train staff, ensure cleanliness and food safety, and help run an efficient, high-quality bakery that serves the local community. This is a full-time, on-site role with room for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years baking experience in a commercial or artisan bakery setting.
• Proven leadership or senior role experience in a baking environment.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and quality standards.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
• Good communication and mentoring skills.
• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the baking team to produce a variety of breads and pastries according to COBS recipes and standards.
• Oversee daily production schedules, ensuring timely and efficient baking processes.
• Assist in managing inventory and ordering of baking ingredients.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety within the bakery.
• Train and mentor junior baking staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with management to improve baking processes and product quality.
