Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience with Python or Kotlin.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of frontend patterns such as fraud prevention and backend-for-frontend.
• Ability to define a technical plan for the delivery of a significant feature or system component.
• Strong ownership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve problems.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics in ideation and decision-making, considering risks and trade-offs.
• Identify project, process, technology or business issues and lead in solving them.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts, monitor metrics, and participate in on-call efforts.
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting code review and design standards.
• Develop talent by providing feedback and guidance.
