Affim is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect, build, and scale distributed SQL databases across MySQL, TiDB, and related tech. You will drive provisioning, backups, upgrades, and reliability initiatives within a Kubernetes-based platform.

You will influence the team roadmap, collaborate with product management, design, and analytics, and mentor engineers while delivering high-quality code and scalable infrastructure.

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience deploying large-scale databases in production.
• Expertise in distributed DB architectures and SQL tuning.
• Experience with zero-downtime migrations and upgrades.

Responsabilidades

• Build and operate control plane for large-scale distributed SQL databases.
• Design zero-downtime migrations across multi-tenant clusters.
• Own networking stack connecting services to storage on Kubernetes.
• Lead quarterly team goals and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics through ideation and trade-offs.
• Monitor metrics and support on-call efforts.
