Mecka is hiring a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, scale, and harden our AWS environment, focusing on networking and storage for global data ingestion and delivery. You’ll lead key projects and collaborate with ML, CV, and data teams in a senior IC role.

You will shape the infrastructure, practice IaC, and drive reliability, monitoring, and cost optimization while mentoring teammates on the Platform Engineering & Infrastructure team.

Formación

• 6+ years in infrastructure, platform, or cloud engineering.
• Deep AWS networking: VPC design, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS.
• IAM, security fundamentals: least-privilege, encryption, audit readiness.
• Strong IaC practice (Terraform) and CI/CD ownership.
• Scripting for automation (Python/Go).

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate core parts of Mecka’s AWS environment (networking, storage, and IAM).
• Build and maintain our network: VPCs, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, VPN/Direct Connect, DNS, load balancing.
• Implement and tune the storage layer for petabyte-scale data on S3, including lifecycle and replication.
• Improve speed and predictability of data transfer from ingestion to dataset delivery.
• Manage infrastructure as code through CI/CD, ensuring changes are reviewable and reusable.
• Contribute to reliability via monitoring, alerting, on-call, incident response, and postmortems.
• Find cost savings in storage and data transfer and mentor other engineers.
