Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Validation Engineer to support automated and robotic medical-device assembly equipment in Cambridge, Ontario on a contract basis. The role requires hands-on validation for PLC and SCADA controlled manufacturing systems, with emphasis on data integrity and regulated practices.

The successful candidate will author and execute validation protocols (FAT/SAT/IQ/OQ/TMV), test equipment and software, and collaborate with controls engineers,

Qualifications

• Senior Automation Validation Engineer with extensive PLC/SCADA experience.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment and computerized system validation.

Responsibilities

• Author, review, and execute FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and TMV protocols.
• Plan and perform software verification and validation across lifecycle.
• Test PLC logic, interlocks, alarms, and system messages.
• Document test results with accuracy and traceability.
• Collaborate with suppliers, controls engineers, quality, and stakeholders.
