Job summary

Prent Corporation is seeking a Senior Automation & Controls Engineer to lead design, integration, and support of automated systems across manufacturing lines. The role involves robotics, vision, and IIoT data workflows, with hands-on system commissioning and debugging.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of automation experience, a BS in Electrical Engineering, strong programming skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in electrical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of Automation & Controls experience.
• Ability to create and interpret technical documents incl. schematics.
• Experience configuring computers (networking, software, peripherals).
• Strong programming abilities in any language.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Experience designing/troubleshooting low-voltage control systems.
• Experience programming industrial controllers and robots.
• Power BI and data visualization experience preferred.
• SME for international engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Prototype, design, upgrade, and support automated systems.
• Integrate hardware such as robots, cameras, sensors, and servo motors.
• Develop software to automate systems and create UIs.
• Synthesize IIoT data and insights.
• Research robotics, computer vision, and ML for automation.
• Communicate technical info to engineers, operations, and management.
