Systemex Automation is seeking an Automation Project Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary team focused on industrial automation, robotics, and control systems programming. You will guide talent development, align priorities, and ensure high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering, automation, or related field, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, and systems integration.
• Experience leading technical teams, coordinating resources, mentoring, and developing talent.
• Proficiency with at least two major PLC platforms; solid knowledge of HMI, SCADA, robotics, networks and commissioning.
• Strong leadership, organization, judgment, analytical thinking, and communication; capable of managing multiple projects.
• Proficiency in French is mandatory; English required for internal/external communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the programming and robotics team to support performance and skills growth.
• Plan priorities, allocate resources, and coordinate workload with schedules and budgets.
• Provide technical oversight for PLC/HMI programming and robotic cell development.
• Define and improve best practices for programming, commissioning, documentation, and validation.
• Support the team in solving complex issues and root cause analyses.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, software, and project management teams.
• Contribute to control architecture and industrial communication strategies.
• Ensure deliverable quality and successful FAT/SAT testing and safety compliance.
