Job summary

Eneon ES Inc. is seeking a Sr. Control Systems Engineer to scale its controls platform for premium BESS solutions across North America.

You will tackle complex control challenges, contribute to architecture evolution, and guide commissioning from field validation to final delivery. With 8–15+ years in controls or industrial systems, you will design, implement, and optimize software, drivers, and interfaces using Modbus TCP, SunSpec, and OPC UA, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating

Qualifications

8–15+ years of experience in controls, automation, or industrial systems.
Proven experience with PLCs, site controllers, or industrial control systems.
Hands-on experience with control software and real-world commissioning.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain control system software for Eneon's BESS.
Translate requirements into reliable control behavior amid evolving scopes.
Diagnose complex system-level issues across hardware, software, and networks.
Develop device drivers for third-party equipment over Modbus TCP, SunSpec, OPC UA.
Refactor code for clarity and maintainability while preserving behavior.
Manage software changes via Git with PRs and reviews.
Stay close to real systems through commissioning, testing, and field validation.
Lead or support commissioning efforts and technical escalations.
Influence architecture evolution through hands-on contribution and review.
Define reusable control patterns and platform components.
Identify and address cross-timeframe technical risks.
