Job summary

Wainbee in Palgrave, Ontario, seeks a Sr Controls Specialist to lead design and development of control systems, following customer specifications and industry standards. You will collaborate with mechanical designers, electricians and assemblers to integrate control systems across the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong PLC/SCADA experience, safety knowledge and cross-functional leadership to mentor juniors and deliver technical support and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years work experience minimum.
• 5+ years in related industrial automotive field (10+ preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs (required).
• Omron and Siemens considered asset; ABB and Fanuc experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety setup, industrial networking, IO link.
• Motion control applications experience.
• Vision application experience would be an asset.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Experience with pneumatic design.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Degree/Diploma in related field (required).

Summary

All aspects of our machine builds not limited to designing,implementing, optimizing controls systems. HMI and program development.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of control systems following customer specifications, ensuring they meet industrystandards. Collaborate with mechanical designers, electricians and assemblers to integrate control systems that flows witheach part of the job. Provide technical guidance to junior team members. Offer technical support for troubleshooting andresolving control systems issues.

Qualifications
