Job summary

Accenture is seeking an engineer to join Industry X in Canada, focusing on process and discrete manufacturing control systems. You will design, implement and validate automation solutions, deliver virtual commissioning and simulations, and work with multinational teams to drive efficiency and innovation.

The role requires hands-on experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA/DCS platforms and strong problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
Experience in control engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of process and discrete manufacturing plant processes for design.
Automation system design, software integration, commissioning, validation and start-up.
Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA/DCS systems and control system architecture.
English required for a multinational North America team.

Responsibilities

Complete project requirements and lead or participate in client consultations.
Identify, assess and solve complex technical problems using data-driven analysis.
Develop proposals for business development and present to senior leadership.
Plan and execute system specification, design, architecture and development.
Create standards, procedures, training materials and project documentation.
Deliver virtual commissioning, emulation, testing and simulation.
Maintain and grow client relationships across engineering disciplines.
Manage project resources and budgets when needed.
