Job summary

Sedgwick Canada seeks an experienced Claims Adjuster - Auto to analyze mid- and high-level auto claims, determine the scope of damages, adjudicate within company standards and industry best practices, and identify opportunities for subrogation and settlements.

The role involves managing claims, reserving, settling within designated authority, and communicating with claimants and clients. Requires a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and state adjusting licenses; four years of experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
  • Four (4) years of claims management experience or equivalent education/experience.
  • Subject matter expert on insurance principles, recoveries, offsets, and cost containment for the line of business.

Responsibilities

  • Manages mid-level and higher-level auto claims by gathering information to determine exposure and assign reserves.
  • Assesses liability and resolves claims within evaluation and company standards.
  • Approves and processes assigned claims, determines benefits due, and manages action plans.
