Job summary

The Senior Audit Manager at CIBC is responsible for delivering risk-based audits across designated business lines, guiding planning, fieldwork, and reporting. You will advise management on internal controls and help strengthen the control environment in a hybrid work setting with 1-3 days on-site in Toronto.

We seek professionals with 5–10 years of audit experience, a degree in Business/Accounting/Finance, and relevant designations.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of audit or related experience.
• Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, with professional designation (CPA, CIA, MBA) or equivalent business experience.
• Solid understanding of applicable laws and regulatory requirements related to Retail Banking within a large financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute audits of medium and large complexity businesses, reflecting a thorough assessment of audit risk to support the IA Annual Plan.
• Oversee all phases of the audit process, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide expert advice on risk, control, and regulatory matters.
