Job summary

MUFG Investor Services seeks a Senior Associate to ensure accurate client transaction processing, pricing and reconciliations in a hybrid Canada-based role. You will review security pricing, oversee reconciliation tech and liaise with custodians to resolve breaks, while supporting onboarding and change projects.

The ideal candidate has a university degree and 2+ years in investor services or asset management, with strong knowledge of securities and related systems.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Math, Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in investor services or asset management.
• Understanding of equities, bonds, forwards, futures, options & OTC derivatives.
• Experience with a reconciliation technology or related systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client transaction processing is complete, corporate actions booked correctly & security pricing accurate.
• Review portfolio pricing for equities, options, futures, bonds & OTC derivatives; gather prices from Bloomberg/ICE as needed.
• Oversee reconciliation technology to deliver Investment Manager positions and P/L reconciliations.
• Perform GAV reviews and maintain data integrity across systems.
• Liaise with custodians, brokers & counterparties for break resolutions and process improvements.
• Respond to client queries promptly and support new client onboarding.

Job Description

• Ensure client transaction processing is complete, corporate actions have been booked correctly & security pricing is accurate.
• Review pricing of portfolios, confirming securities such as equities, options, futures, bonds & OTC derivatives are priced correctly. Gather security prices from vendors such as Bloomberg & ICE when necessary.
• Operate and oversee reconciliation technology to deliver Investment Manager positions and profit & loss reconciliations.
• Perform GAV reviews
• Liaise with custodians, brokers and other counterparties on an ongoing basis for break resolutions and process improvements.
• Respond to queries from clients in a timely and efficient manner.
• Support the new client onboarding processes.
• Involvement in projects and managing change.
• Oversight of reconciliation and data transmission technology.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Math, Finance, Accounting or an equivalent combination of education.
• Candidates will require at least 2 years’ experience within the investor services or asset management industry.
• Understanding of securities such as equities, bonds, forwards, futures, options & OTC derivatives.
• Experience with a reconciliation technology, a portfolio management system or an investment accounting general ledger is an asset
