Job summary

Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning in Toronto is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our design-led team. You will deliver accurate technical documentation and coordinate with project managers, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.

With 8-10 years local experience and Advanced Revit proficiency, you will mentor junior staff, influence project delivery, and contribute to healthcare and other sectors from our downtown office. Salary starts at CAD 90,000+ per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of local experience as an architectural technologist.
• Advanced Revit proficiency, including model management and documentation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cartoon sets and production plans; oversee production management and reporting functions.
• Lead, develop, prepare, and review Design Development Drawings (DD) and outline specifications.
• Lead, develop, prepare, and review Contract Documents (CD) and specifications.
• Ensure coordination of consultant documentation with respect to project criteria, client program, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform Contract Administration (CA) duties in collaboration with the Contract Administrator.
• Direct the preparation of tender documents.
• Direct the research and compilation of construction materials.
• Direct the assembly, circulation, and filing of project documents.
• Chair production meetings.
• Perform code and bylaw analysis.
• Perform Quality Control procedures.
• Coordinate with and review the work of consultants.
• Collaborate with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Actively manage project fee budgets and costs to ensure project profitability and prepare reports as required; draft fee agreements and contracts.
• Approve and control all time spent on projects, expenses, and consultant invoices.
• Provide mentorship, guidance and direction to other Production Team Members
