Job summary

Kasian in Toronto is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist with proven Job Captain experience in a Revit environment to lead production and deliver design development documents for complex projects. Mass timber experience is required and the role focuses on coordinating consultants and preparing CD sets.

You will manage design development, construction documents, and tender materials, guiding production meetings and ensuring code analysis and bylaw compliance throughout the project

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Job Captain on projects in a Revit environment.
• Experience with mass timber projects is required.
• Senior/lead production and documentation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sets and production plans; oversee production management and reporting functions.
• Lead, develop, prepare, and review Design Development Drawings (DD) and outline specifications
• Lead, develop, prepare, and review Contract Documents (CD) and specifications
• Ensure coordination of consultant documentation with respect to project criteria, client program, drawings, and specifications
• Perform Contract Administration (CA) duties in collaboration with the Contract Administrator
• Direct the preparation of tender documents
• Direct the research and compilation of construction materials
• Direct the assembly, circulation, and filing of project documents
• Chair production meetings
• Perform code and bylaw analysis

We have an exciting opportunity in our Toronto office for a Senior Architectural Technologist who brings experience working as a Job Captain on projects in a Revit environment. Using your Revit skills, you will work with a team to lead a variety of production tasks to prepare documents needed to take a building from original concept to completion. You will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and preparing design development and construction documents for innovative and complex projects Experience with mass timber projects is required.
