Job summary

Tech Talent International (SI) seeks a Senior Application Support Analyst for a major financial client in downtown Montreal. You will build, troubleshoot, and support Front Office applications using C#/.Net, ensuring real-time PnL and risk indicators are accurate for traders.

The role is hybrid in Montreal: 5 days in office for the first 3 months, then 3 days onsite and 2 days from home. You will collaborate with Front Office, RISQ, and ARD, provide Level 1–2 support, and participate in Agile

Qualifications

• Must have strong finance knowledge, especially market risk processes and fixed income
• Minimum 2 years of Market Risk and PnL experience in a large bank or insurer
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Experience with fixed income products (IR swaps, futures)
• Experience with Oracle and MySQL databases
• Experience working in teams using GitHub and GitHub Copilot
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong troubleshooting and multitasking abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented with collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Investigate production issues, including analysis of Greeks, PnL, and sensitivity explanations
• Collaborate with Front Office, RISQ, and ARD teams to design and deliver solutions
• Participate in the LATAM-to-global tool rollout
• Perform proactive code testing and UAT with traders before release
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support
• Collaborate to build the target architecture and decommission Excel tools
• Work with stakeholders across products and systems requiring technical expertise

We currently have a role as a Senior Application Support Analyst with our large consulting client working for a major financial services client in the downtown Montreal area.

Role: Senior Application Support Analyst

Location: Downtown Montreal, QC - Hybrid (roles starts off 5 days in office for 1st 3 months, then turns into hybrid setup 3 days onsite, 2 days from home)

Salary: $85,000 - $90, 000

Position Overview

• Build, troubleshoot, and support Front Office applications using C#/.Net
• Ensure real-time indicators (PnL, risks) produced by the Risk Engine are accurate and timely for traders
• Investigate production issues, including analysis of Greeks, PnL, and sensitivity explanations
• Collaborate closely with Front Office, RISQ, and ARD teams to design, implement, and deliver solutions on time
• Participate in the LATAM-to-global tool rollout
• Perform proactive code testing and conduct UAT directly with traders before release
• Provide follow-the-sun support for Asia to ensure smooth market openings
• Apply Agile and CI/CD methodologies to improve production stability and follow release/change management processes
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support
• Collaborate with the RT Chapter to build the target architecture, including decommissioning Excel tools and implementing a unified user interface
• Work closely with key stakeholders across products and systems requiring both functional and technical expertise

Profile

Mandatory
