Job summary

boosted is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our remote-first team in Canada. You will design, build, and maintain robust data systems across domains, applying dimensional modeling principles and modern methodologies.

The role focuses on advanced analytics, semantic layers, and self-service reporting for clients. You will mentor analysts, collaborate with data engineers and scientists, and stay ahead of industry trends while delivering impactful insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is preferred; a Master’s is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of data analysis experience, preferably in consulting or services.
  • Strong SQL skills are required; Python or R is a plus.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL, and database design.
  • Proficiency with Tableau/Power BI/Looker for visualization.
  • Excellent communication and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience in Crypto/Retail/Health/Insurance sectors is advantageous.

About the role

What we're looking for We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects across different domains, utilizing the latest technologies and methodologies to design, build, and maintain robust data systems. This role requires a deep understanding of dimensional data modelling principles, and a passion for solving complex data challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct advanced data analysis and interpretation to support product and growth analytics.
  • Develop and implement semantic layers, data models, and reporting solutions to enable self-service analytics for clients.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and data visualizations to communicate key insights and metrics.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, translate them into analytical requirements, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and visualization.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  • Experience in the Crypto, Retail, or Health/Insurance industries is an advantage.
