Job Description
As a Senior Analyst, you will contribute to key deliverables and initiatives for your department, including supporting operational, administrative, and financial activities. You will also help provide strategic recommendations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and drive growth, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor solutions, ensuring long-term success and sustainability
Team Description
The Business Management (BM) team within the Total Fund Management department supports the department on key operational focuses including talent and culture, business & financial planning, governance, compliance, and project management. BM acts in support of the department’s focus of managing total fund activities across all investment horizons where we have a dynamic and direct impact on the Fund’s overall performance.
Accountabilities
- Effectively collaborate on key initiatives and connect with business management peers across the Fund to share and understand best practices.
- Provide timely, accurate and relevant information/analysis that facilitates better decision making and brings value-added insight to data received.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of organizational processes, systems, and financial data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive effective cross-departmental knowledge sharing through authorship and execution of regular newsletters, information hubs and SharePoint document repositories and event planning..
- Help coordinate requirements gathering and provide testing support for new departmental systems and tools.
- Support broad suite of departmental compliance activities, facilitating effective communication, tracking and execution against rules & regulations
- Provide analytical and coordination support for financial analysis and investment performance reporting activities
- Assist with operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- University degree or College diploma
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships effectively with people at all levels.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), programming skills (e.g. SQL, Python and Excel VBA) would be an asset.
- Ability to effectively manage toward timelines on multiple concurrent initiatives, keeping managers and colleagues apprised of progress and seeking assistance as required.
- Experience with tackling problems with elements of ambiguity, with a developing sense of when to work independently, and when to seek guidance.
- Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and new challenges
- Developing analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively
