Role Accountabilities:

  1. Working with large volumes of information: This requires strong analytical skills and proficiency with data management tools to ensure accurate and user-friendly reporting.
  2. Liaison between business users and IT departments: Effective communication and problem-solving skills are crucial to bridge the gap between technical and business needs.
  3. Project lifecycle participation: Involvement in all phases from requirements gathering to end-user training ensures comprehensive understanding and successful implementation of financial systems.
  4. Understanding business processes: Deep knowledge of how business processes integrate with financial systems is essential for optimizing workflows and ensuring system efficiency.
  5. Problem-solving skills: Technical expertise in systems like Workday and SAP is necessary to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
  6. Collaboration and communication: Building strong relationships with stakeholders and IT departments is key for successful initiatives and smooth operations.
  7. Documentation and reporting: Attention to detail and clear documentation practices are vital for maintaining accurate records and facilitating communication.
  8. System integrated testing: Ensuring thorough testing of systems to validate functionality and performance is critical for reliable operations.
  9. Commitment: To promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.

Role Requirements:

  1. A Post-Secondary education in Finance or related field is required; experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly corporate and/or retail will be considered an asset.
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years’ finance experience.
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to bring together and manage interactions with employees from across the organization.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage demanding situations with tact.
  5. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  6. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize numerous tasks with conflicting deadlines.
  7. Results Oriented – able to consistently deliver on time and accurate results.
  8. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools preferably Excel, Access, Power BI.
  9. Familiarity with SAP and Workday is an asset.
  10. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
